Along with working at Books and Blessings Gift Shop, I have been a self-directed student of Biblical archaeology for ten years with emphasis on the historical Jesus and early Christanities.

During this period I have been to Israel twice, the last visit in 2018 with Dr. James Tabor, exploring from Dan to Tamar.  Prior to that trip I visited Jordan and Turkey.  This year I toured Egypt prior to joining the 30 member team to dig at  the Zion Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem in June 2019. YEA!  This was an experience of a lifetime for me!

For the last two summers I have dug sites in the Mimbres Valley, New Mexico with UN/Las Vegas.  We unearthed pottery, flora, fauna, and human remains of the Mimbres Indians dating c. 800 to 1000 AD.  I am a volunteer with the Mimbres Museum and offer lectures to students regarding the preservation of the Mimbres culture.

I am retired as Vice President of the Grand Canyon Railway serving the Grand Canyon in Arizona....and I loved it!

After retirement from the railroad, I volunteered at the Casa and also served as director of education and retreats in the 90's. I left that position to care for my husband who has since passed.  I returned to the Casa in the gift shop and started my business  IMAGES OF PASSION.  I am proud to have my company represented in the shop.  I create Rosary bracelets from semi precious materials.  My bracelets have been purchased by people from around the world....I love and am grateful for the wonderful opportunity  the shop has given me.
